5 Hot Forum Marketing Tips For Great Results
Out of all of the free Internet marketing techniques that are used to promote and generate traffic, forum marketing is one of the best. Forum marketing reaches a wide variety of targeted traffic without spending a lot of money. You do need to put in the work and be dedicated to becoming a good solid member of what ever forum you might be joining.
1. Join the forum that is tied in with your product. It won’t be doing you a lot of good if your marketing product is a single’s dating service but you are joining a “Brides to be” forum.
When you are joining a forum to market from, it is to your best interests that the forum members will have some common ground with your product or service. This way, when you are posting back links to your promo site or squeeze page, the leads you receive will be targeted leads.
2. Establish yourself as a presence in the forums. Be that member that is helpful with answers and referral links to places members can go for information when they ask for help and advice.
3. Finding forum friends that you can do marketing campaigns with together. Joint ventures will help network a quicker and stronger campaign for your venture group. All you need to do is find two or three other forum members that are marketing “like” products, similar products as yours, to band together with.
Cross promoting each others products is a great way for a group to realize the advantages that networking has on exploding a market wide open. This method can be very lucrative for all involved. The key is to keep the group to no more than four marketers total.
When all members of the group already have their preferred marketing methods in place, then the whole marketing project can truly take shape and become a monster marketing machine. This can open up avenues of revenue that a single person in the network group could have realized on their own.
4. After you have been a forum member for a short time, you can begin to leave short 250-300 word articles in forum posts with back links in your resource box to your site. The idea is to offer up fresh, insightful tips and information that others in the forum will be thankful to have.
Forum readers appreciate good useful information they can use. Some of these readers will click your back links and either purchase your products or join your subscriber list.
5. These are the “Do Nots”. Do not join a forum and begin posting for marketing purposes until you have read the rules about new members posting. Don’t spam. Just going into the forum to collect emails so you can blind market them is totally wrong. This is spamming. Do not get involved in any “flame” wars, either. Personal attacks on others will not make you ever look professional, even if you were right about an issue that someone is flaming you about.
When forum marketing is used correctly, it will certainly be bringing a lot more target leads to your business!
